Christopher Nolan Sucks

In Christopher Nolan’s Batman Begins, Bruce Wayne is told,

“It's not who you are underneath, it's what you do that defines you.”

Which is a dangerous concept to not only believe, but to lecture.

We are not defined by what we do, what we do is a series of successes and failures and mistakes

We are not defined by our mistakes.

You’re going to make mistakes.

We are defined by the lessons we learned making them.

Who we are underneath is a hodgepodge of lessons gathered through these wins and loses and poor judgment calls.

No body is perfect. And I would never trust anyone that was.

The difference is admitting when mistakes are mistakes, owning them.
It's not what you do, it's who you are underneath that defines you.
