Confide in Me

Up until recently

I’ve said “I Love You” more than I’ve said “I Love Myself”

And this may sound embarrassing

But gathering all the courage and confidence

And the right balance of optimism and realism

Took me a long time to collect.

But now I know

That I may say “I Love You” more than “I Love Myself”

But I can at least guarantee one of those stays true.
