I will never underestimate my relationship to art

I’ve heard songs that spoke more truth to me more than you did

I’ve read poems that understood what I was going through more than you did

I’ve read novels that taught me more about life and myself than you did

I’ve seen movies that express healthy emotion better than you did

I’ve seen paintings that had more intimacy behind each layer than you did

Yet despite all these pieces having more Heart than you did

They will never bring me to tears quite like you did
