I’m Sorry
I long for the day when I no longer apologize for things out of my control
For I am sick of waking up and needing to excuse my existance,
Treating the struggles I face
As burdens on the shoulders
Of those around me. /
I long for the day when I’m okay with the hardships in my life
For I have grown so much since being in the mud,
Seeing others who have it harder
And knowing I am blessed
Because of those around me. /
I long for the day I can truly believe my penitence has been paid
For I know I have done more good than harm to this world,
Being able to be as happy
As I tried so desparately to make
The people who stayed around me.
