The Hero Shrew, native to the Congo Basin of Africa, has been known to have the strongest spine in the animal kingdom.

Their vertebrae interlock, making the spine extremely strong and rigid when compressed

Allowing them to even withstand the full weight of an adult human standing on it.

And yet

I buckle in the knees when I see your name light up my phone

And let you walk all over me.

I still get stiff when someone mentions your name.

I envy the shrew who can withstand a Shrew
