Odin Eyes
I’m afraid we’re both ravens,
And our memories are the Unkindess.
For I could never forget your face
Burned behind my eyelids.
Seeing you through the black,
Eyes swelling with tears,
Cawing out to me.
Begging me to stay.
But I was a bad omen.
And you were my harbinger of doom.
Treating each other as shiny things to collect,
Mimicking voices of those who say
“I love you, too”.
We were meant to fly, not stay.
Never mine
Never yours
Nevermore.
