I went for a run today.

And just like in life,

There were times I felt good, times I felt miserable, times I wanted to give up, times I pushed through, times I stopped to catch my breath, times I lost control, times I felt gross, times I felt strong. times I felt like proud, times I felt embarrassed, times I felt like I was flying, and times I felt like I was dying.

But in the end, I did it.

And of all the things I felt in my run, I never once felt like I was in a race.

That was the lesson I plan to remind myself of every day.

Life isn’t a sprint. But it isn’t a marathon either.

It isn’t a race.

You’re not competing
