r.h Sin
Those in our lives carry lanterns
That light the way
Down the paths we find ourselves on.
But not all lights last that long.
Some exist, solely, for a second.
Others may burn for years, yet still fizzle out when the fire dies.
And I wanted so badly to be the light that guided you the most
To be the one beside you every step of the way
Until your journey was complete
But I see now there are lights that will be brighter
And hold your gaze longer
Until you’ve forgotten I’m even here
For it’s me who is blinded
Thinking I can be the one
To help you forget
About the darkness
