Stone Letter
I found a rock that felt like you
Smooth, yet with small ridges every so often
Like the dimples on your back
Pointed, like an arrow aimed toward tomorrow
For a new adventure to start
Small, able to fit in my hand
Making me wish for more to grab fistfuls of
Eroded, but not withered, just worn from years of drowning
Remaining powerful after the world tried to wash it away
Strong and ever present, on my nightstand
Sturdy and steadfast, the first thing I see when I wake up
I found a rock that felt like you
