Tainted
It took some time to accept
That being tainted
Is an acquired taste
That what is sullied to one
Is solace for another
For I feared the toxins I excreted
Would be more than enough reason
To keep those I care for
At bay
But she showed me immunities
Are sometimes as natural
As the poisons they prevent
So when she touched me
Without hesitation
I held on
And haven’t let go since
