Trial and Error
I often confuse being wrong with being bad
I look at my mistakes
My past, my regrets
And think that the decisions I made make me a bad person.
That every incorrect choice is a failure.
But now I think the fundamental difference between being bad and being wrong
Is the pursuit to correct the error and admit the flaw.
I’m not a monster for messing up.
I’m a human for messing up.
You can get plenty of things wrong on a test and still pass the class.
And as long as I acknowledge those screw ups, those mistakes, those regrets, and do all that I can to grow from them and avoid repeating them
Then that, I think, is the first right thing I have done in a while
