Doggone-it!

They said that our words need to be refined

Or spoken in a way that shows our grace

But after all the things you’ve done unkind

I wish I could say “fuck you” to your face

No poem can express all that I feel

But god, you hurt me more than life foretold

So yes, this piece may lack in some appeal

This tension that you know I can’t withhold

The smart thing to do is just cut you out

Well, not before I get to say my piece

With you I never had an ounce of doubt

Yet now I know the lies will just increase

Goodbye, take care, do not write back to me

I’m gone for good, this I can guarantee
