En Route

There are many roads.

Some older than the places we live

Paths here
Walked long before
Mankind ever stepped foot
On the gound

And they can lead anywhere
And everywhere

Connecting the world
Like veins in a body

Bringing life to and fro

Flowing

For no matter how far away we may seem,
There is always a road that connects us

So long as you’re willing to walk it

And although it may remain unpaved,
And the journey may take
Longer than expected,

The destination will never move

And I will still be here
