It’s Over, Isn’t it?

So there I was

At the bottom of the ocean

Completely submerged and under immense pressure

Closed off, shut tight

Surrounded by absolute darkness

Staying safe. Staying away.

Alone.

But little did I know

Inside of me was a pearl

Glistening off the neon lights of the trench

And all I had to do was open up, just a little bit

To the world around me

And show off what was waiting.

The thing that made me beautiful

To a world that was just as breathtaking
