Lebowski

I think having religion is like having bumpers in bowling

Every success or failure

Is bounced back between prayer and punishment.

But wouldn’t miracles be more miraculous if they remained mysterious?

With no divine intervention?

Isn’t the idea of a miracle almost muted when you can accredit it to an omnipotent being?

A strike for a person who has never bowled before is much more impressive when it’s unexplainable

A fluke. A phenomenon. But a fact.

To give glory to a god for a job well done diminishes the degree of dexterity.

I say open the gutters

Let chaos control the contest

Spare me the spears and split the spirits

Your victories are yours

And your failures are just a former frame
