How tragic a creature

To exist with three hearts

Possessing the capacity to love three times as much

At the risk of triple the agony.

Yet still able to hug four people

I wonder just how limp and cold that fourth hug is

The one void of any heart behind it

I wonder if the lacking love is as noticeable

As the hugs you’ve given lately.
