Road Trips

Coming back to you

Like falling asleep on a late night drive.

Dreaming of magic and maybe making matters better.

Brain off and in the clouds,

Slouched in the seat,

Radio on a low hum.

But my body knows every twist and turn

Every bump in the road,

Every slight right and street light.

Waking me

As soon as I am home
