Stay Positive, Test Negative
This New Years Eve
Is where you can find my discarded dermis
For when the clock is full and the moon strikes midnight
We will emerge born anew
Flesh from skin
Bone from marrow
Screaming and chirping in tune of a firework show
Announcing our birth for all to hear
After being dormant and desolate for many years.
This self imposed chrysalis of pandemic partitioning
Has produced pupa ready to propagate.
We are cicadas ready to fly.
