Terra-Incognita
I misspoke when I called you a star in the night sky
Yes, you are bright. Yes, you shine and glimmer with a radiance I have not seen before.
Yes, I feel myself drawn to you with a powerful gravitational pull.
But I think more accurately, you are everything in-between
A void of mystery shrouded in secrecy
Acting as nothing more than blank space.
But you and I know know that’s not true.
There is much more to those gaps,
Much more to read between those lines.
Final frontiers unexplored, unfathomed, undetermined
You are Space
A vacuum of not nothing
But everything
All of existence encompassed in your eyes
My world in the palm of your hand
Everything ever conceived or dreamed
Is found in you.
You are no star, no planet, no astroid.
You are no Heavenly Body because you are Heaven itself
And I am drifting slowly
Baffled by the expanse
Lost
Breathless
Floating
Completely enveloped in enamoration
Waiting for the moment
To be caught in an orbit
And fall
