Toadstool

There was always something so poetically simplistic about the original Super Mario game

A side scroller, where you always progressed to the right. Ever closer to the end to fight Bowser. Save the Princess.

But you’re never allowed to go backwards.

Which means there was no going back

Every missed coin. Every lost power up. Every failed attempt at a short cut.

You were only able to push forward. And try your best to live with the decisions you have made.

But always letting you believe

There were more secrets coming up

Providing you with hope, even for just the next frame
